Shannon A. Brown

Shannon A. Brown is an internationally recognized and highly respected human resource and operations leader. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ActionLogics, LLC, an innovative, people-focused software solutions company focused on improving organizational productivity and performance.

Prior to leading ActionLogics, Brown served as Senior Vice President of Eastern Division U.S. Operations and Chief Diversity Officer at FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company. He began his career at FedEx in 1978 at the company’s Memphis World Hub. As he advanced in his career, he continued to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a strong commitment to service. His executive achievements also include serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources/Diversity Officer at FedEx Express and as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at FedEx Ground.

Brown is actively involved with a variety of corporate, academic, and nonprofit institutions. He currently serves on the board of directors for Cadence Bank and the board of Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. He also holds board of director memberships with the Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver, the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Baptist Health Care Foundation. His dedication to community service includes memberships on the central board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis and the Orpheum Theatre Group in Memphis. His background also includes service as past chairman of the board for United Way of the Mid-South.

Brown’s outstanding professional and civic leadership achievements have brought him to the forefront of media attention. He has been named to Black Enterprise (BE) magazine’s lists of “100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America,” “Top Executives in Corporate Diversity,” and he was the 2023 recipient of BE’s “Dedicated Corporate Champion Award.” Brown has also been recognized on Savoy magazine’s list of “Top 100 Most Influential Executives in Corporate America.” Additional honors include multiple FedEx Five Star Awards and his distinguished FedEx career as an impactful corporate executive earned him the recognition of having a street named in his honor, “Shannon A. Brown Road,” in Memphis, Tennessee.

Brown is a recipient of the National-Louis University Distinguished Alumni Award and was inducted into the Memphis City Schools Alumni Hall of Fame. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in applied behavioral science from National-Louis University in Chicago and a master’s degree in intermodal transportation from the University of Denver.
